Oral history tapes, 1977-1987.

Oral history tapes consist of two series. The earlier series are interviews with Spring Valley residents, 1977-1978. Subjects include school, farm life, childhood, Jewish immigrant history, political and moral issues, organizations, medicine, disasters, religion, businesses, social life, and railroads. The second are interviews with more than 80 Jewish residents of Spring Valley, conducted by Leona Cohn in the 1980s, concerning their settlement in Spring Valley in the first two decades of the twentieth century, their businesses, neighborhoods, local resorts, and religious and community life.
